I talked to Ally the Chat Bot and at first I could have believed that I was talking to a human, but as our conversation went on I began to notice something was strange.  She would sometimes answer my questions with phrases that didn’t quite make sense.  She would respond to my questions with another question.  For example, I asked her what her mom’s name was and she replied, “Are you asking about my mom’s name?”  Also, she didn’t understand what the beach was and asked me to explain it.

My adventure game takes you on a treasure hunt through the University of San Francisco.  I wanted there to be an end to the game so if you follow the right path you will win!  I think I was successful in creating a story and game that is easy to follow and interesting to play.

I downloaded Firefox onto my computer and added Colorzilla, which we saw in class and Surf Canyon.  Surf Canyon is a search engine assistant that gives recommendations for sites that are similar to your search.  For example if you search for nail polish and click on the bullseye icon next to the OPI site Surf Canyon will bring up more sites about OPI from other pages.  This add-on seems to be very useful and I think I will start using it all the time.

I liked this website.  I thought it was easy to use and had an interesting concept.  You can begin by searching for a song or artist and then start to build your own radio station.  Pandora will find the song you are looking for and then find other songs it thinks you might like.

Mappa del Potere is a “map of power” created by Casaleggio Associati.  Mappa del Potere is a map of relationships between different people and different companies in Italy.  A person can make their own map and search to find out what companies are connected to each other.  The information is shared through the board of directors.  This mapping system has successfully allowed people to make connections between major companies in Italy.  I was interested in this social network system because I studied abroad in Italy.  I can’t find any problems with this project, but I don’t speak Italian so it’s hard to tell.
